NBC Winter Olympics
For the first time in Winter Olympics history, NBC’s broadcast feed of the PyeongChang 2018 Games was live-streamed daily. Our marketing team at NBC Sports developed a comprehensive social media content strategy as part of a larger multimedia campaign. Our strategy focused on a small group of preselected athletes, South Korea, and generic Winter Olympics imagery.
My team captured photography during media shoots and adapted the existing style guide across platforms. As a passionate Olympics fan, I was eager to create static, animated, and templated graphics before and during the Games—often with quick turnarounds based on live events. The PyeongChang Olympics averaged 20.6 million primetime viewers per night, making it the most-watched Winter Games at the time.
